Common questions about the TEAS
How long is the TEAS?
The TEAS takes 209 minutes, just under three and a half hours, plus time to check in.
What’s a good TEAS score?
Each nursing program sets its own minimum, so start with your school’s requirement. ATI says most schools look for the Proficient level or higher, which starts at 58.7%.
Can I retake the TEAS?
Yes. ATI doesn’t set a waiting period, but your school may limit how many attempts count and how soon you can test again.
How much does the TEAS cost?
Registering through ATI or PSI costs $120 plus tax. If you test at a school, the school sets the price.
How many questions are on the TEAS?
There are 170 questions, and 150 of them are scored. The other 20 are unscored pretest questions mixed in with the rest.
