Who makes Scrubwise?
Scrubwise is made by the team at Fiveable, which has helped more than a million students prepare for AP exams since 2018. Fiveable Inc. operates the site. Scrubwise was started by Amanda DoAmaral, who taught AP classes before founding Fiveable in 2018.
What does Scrubwise offer today?
Scrubwise is a waitlist today. Practice tests and question banks are being written and will open exam by exam, and anyone on the waitlist gets one email on the day their exam opens. While the practice tests are being written, the site publishes exam facts checked against each exam owner’s own website, study calculators that show their work, and references.
- Study tools: the dosage calculator, mg to mL calculator, IV drip rate calculator and military time converter.
- References: order of draw, medical terminology, medical abbreviations and dosage calculation formulas.
- Data: health-career exam pass rates, taken only from each exam owner’s own reports.

Scrubwise covers 17 health-career exams:

Is Scrubwise affiliated with ATI, Elsevier, NHA, PTCB or NCSBN?
No. Scrubwise isn’t affiliated with ATI, Elsevier, the NHA, PTCB, NCSBN or any other exam owner, and it isn’t a school or a training program. Exam names such as TEAS, HESI, CCMA, PTCE and NCLEX are trademarks of the organizations that own those exams, and Scrubwise uses them only to say which exam a page is about.
Is Scrubwise a school or a training program?
No. Scrubwise is study practice. It doesn’t enroll students, grant certificates or licenses, or replace the approved training program your state or exam owner requires before you can test.
How does Scrubwise check its facts?
Every exam fact comes from the exam owner’s own website or published report, and every page shows the date we checked it. The editorial standards page explains how pages are sourced, dated, corrected and re-checked.
