There’s no single passing TEAS score. ATI’s own help center says each school sets its own cut score, so the first number to find is your program’s minimum. Check the admissions page or ask the program directly.
ATI’s five score levels
Your score report gives a total score as a percentage and places it in one of five academic preparedness levels.
| Level | Total score |
|---|---|
| Developmental | 0% to 40.0% |
| Basic | 40.7% to 58.0% |
| Proficient | 58.7% to 79.3% |
| Advanced | 80.0% to 91.3% |
| Exemplary | 92.0% to 100% |
ATI says your school will most likely want you at Proficient or above. Your section scores are reported too, but they can’t be added up to get your total score.
If your score is lower than you need
Plenty of people take the TEAS more than once. ATI doesn’t require a waiting period between attempts, but your school sets its own retake rules, including how many attempts it accepts and which score it uses. Your score report shows your lowest topics, which is the best place to start before your next attempt.
