What’s on the HESI A2

The HESI A2 is a set of up to seven academic exams from Elsevier, and your school decides which ones you take. Elsevier’s own research paper lists the scored questions and an estimated time for each exam. TODO: Elsevier publishes no current candidate guide with question counts or a total time limit. Confirm these 2022 figures with a nursing school testing center before launch.

What’s on the HESI A2?

Up to seven academic exams in reading, vocabulary, grammar, math, anatomy and physiology, biology and chemistry. Your school picks which ones you take.

What’s a passing HESI A2 score?

Elsevier doesn’t publish a passing score, so check your program’s minimum. Elsevier calls 75 to 79% satisfactory for associate and bachelor’s applicants, and 80% or higher very good.

How much does the HESI A2 cost?

Elsevier doesn’t list a price. Your school sends you a payment link or a voucher code, so ask your program what it charges. TODO: confirm a typical HESI A2 price from a school testing center page.
