How much does the TEAS cost?

The TEAS costs $120 plus sales tax when you test remotely with ATI or through PSI. If you test at a school or through your school’s online session, the school sets the price.

What you pay for the TEAS depends on where you take it. ATI lists four options, and your school usually tells you which one to use.

ATI says there are no other ATI fees on top of the exam price.

Other TEAS fees

  • Transcripts. TEAS at ATI and TEAS at PSI include one transcript. Each extra one costs $29.99. If you test at a school, your results go to that school automatically.
  • Rescheduling. It costs $15 to reschedule an exam you booked on the ATI site, at least 48 hours ahead.
  • Retakes. Each attempt is a new registration at the full price.
  • Refunds. ATI says TEAS registrations aren’t refundable.

Active-duty military members, spouses and dependents can ask ATI about a discounted registration.

What is a good TEAS score?

A good TEAS score is one that meets your program’s minimum, because ATI doesn’t set a passing score. ATI says most schools look for the Proficient level or higher, which starts at a total score of 58.7%.

How long is the TEAS?

The ATI TEAS 7 takes 209 minutes, just under three and a half hours. That time is split across four timed sections, and an optional 10-minute break after Math doesn’t count against it.

What is on the TEAS?

The ATI TEAS 7 has four sections, Reading, Math, Science, and English and language usage. Science has the most scored questions, 44 of the 150 that count.
