Where do our facts come from?
Exam facts come from primary sources only: the exam owner’s own website, candidate handbook or published report, such as ATI for the TEAS, NCSBN for the NCLEX or the NHA for the CCMA. State rules come from the state board or the state’s testing vendor. Calculator rules and references come from open textbooks, such as Open RN and the WisTech Open dosage calculation text. We don’t take facts from other prep sites.
How are pages dated?
Each source on a page lists the date we last checked it. A page’s “Updated” date is the most recent of those check dates, and the same date is in the page’s structured data. A date only changes when someone re-reads the source.
What happens when we can’t confirm a fact?
We leave it off the page and track it as an open item until we can confirm it with the owner’s own source. When a gap matters to readers, the page says so. For example, the pass-rate dataset lists the exams whose owners don’t publish a pass rate instead of filling them in from elsewhere.
How often are pages re-checked?
Every page is re-checked against its sources every quarter, and sooner when an exam owner announces a change to a fee, format, outline or testing rule.
Has a clinician reviewed these pages?
Not yet. No page on Scrubwise has had clinical review. The calculators and references follow published open textbooks and show their work, but they’re for study practice and must not be used for patient care.
Who writes Scrubwise pages?
The Scrubwise team at Fiveable writes and checks every page. Pages are credited to the team rather than to one person.
How do you report an error?
Email hello@scrubwise.app with questions or corrections. We correct confirmed errors and update the page’s check date.
